The ATBC is an international entity that promotes research, education, conservation, and communication in the field of tropical biology. To this end, annual meetings are organized with diverse academic institutions in different countries of the globe, representing various cultures and environmental settings.
For Madagascar, it will be a unique opportunity:
- To better inform the world about the major issues on this island nation related to biodiversity.
- To strengthen the knowledge and capacities of various stakeholders on the conservation of tropical biodiversity.
- To build awareness among policy makers, civil society actors, and private sector on the values of biodiversity and ecosystem services towards sustainable development.
- To provide unique experience for foreign participants to discover the natural and cultural wealth of Madagascar.
